Takie my old Regiment "The 7th Queens own Hussars" "The" onmly them no other with that title and name. Queens Own, Scottish regt, honoured bgy the Monarch ( a Queen at the time.) as you say King samje procedure,

Mostly "Royal" is by command nof the Monarch; If you thinkm of the 'Royal performance' It usually is "Royal Command performance" just a bit of you now what to make it look good, Aftern the snobbery in England by far out weighs other thoughts; Who would attend "Road sweepers command performance" in all probability you would getb a better show; Those are my thoughts.

And Byb the way we never call our Regt. such names as "Blue devils" for instance; we know they're devils, sio why say what every one knows.

Well not everyone knows that!
